The Dippy Bird dipping |
The Dippy Bird The dippy bird turned into the miniature from hell! Grace had to do him over several times. First the legs weren't strong enough and had to be done over. Then the flask was too short necked. The head exploded when Grace tried to remove it from the flask to add a straw. She bought straws that turned out to be too large. The feet had to be done over when they weren't heavy enough to hold the bird upright. They had to be redone three times to get them right. The hat broke and had to be redone. The bottom of the flask dropped out and helped get blue food coloring all over Grace, her kitchen and her dress. It took five moppings to get the food coloring off the floor! The feather lost all it's nice feathery appearance when painted. Grace has decided that no one can every pay her enough to make another dippy bird! |

I did a series of Michael's Hutches for a customer.
I called this the Black Nativities because the hutch is painted black. I had previously painted many of the figures used in this project.
Called this the Blue Animals for the blue background. Again, many of the figures were painted by me though some were from elsewhere.
This one is the Twelve Days of Christmas. I painted the charms for the 12 days but the houses were from the customer.
This one is the Red Laser Cut. I didn't even know that scenes this small could be made but they are exquisite.
This Pink Dolls hutch the customer only supplied a couple of dolls. I supplied the rest. Many of these can be purchased on my Painted Minis page.
I put together two bird hutches. Customer had so many birds, it took two to house all of them.
It's a little hard to tell from the photos in Bird Hutch 2, (see first and last) but the parakeets are on the outside of the glass on the doors.
The last hutch I completed for the customer, I call Blue Beach Hutch.

Unknown Military Man, After Unknown Artist We've been trying to find this Unknown Military Man for close to a year. There have been several different people looking for the painting and no one had been able to find it, so I decided to try and paint something that looked as much like it as I could make it look. |
White Tudor Baby House |
||
My customer saw the Tudor Baby House that I did for myself and she wanted me to furnish her white painted Baby House in the Tudor style too. She didn't want wallpaper in hers so I printed paneling for hers. Well, sometimes mistakes turn out good. I forgot to change the ink in my printer when I printed the paneling out. It came out this nice light color which went very well with her off white painted Baby House cabinet. While I used the same furniture kits from SDK Miniatures, I tried to arrange the rooms differently. I also used different paintings and rugs. Many of the accessories are different, too.
