Tudor Baby
House - 2017
For some reason, lately, I've been obsessed with
Tudor. My old obsession used to be Southwestern. Anyway, I wanted to do a
Baby House in the
Tudor style. I'd forgotten how difficult it is to place 144/120 scale items
in a Baby House. So some of the things are a little off plum,
but then, my husband of over thirty years has always said, I was a bit off
plum. Guess this project proves it. I've tried to straighten as much of it
as I can. However some of the items are so small, that they are
really difficult to handle. I hope you enjoy this project anyway.
All of the rooms except the hallways, have fireplaces with fire in them. The
candles sconses also have fire on them. |
Tudor house overview |
Tudor Baby House Dining Room (1st floor)
Getting all those tiny dishes in the hutch was fun! I left them unpainted
because the Tudors used pewter. |

Tudor Baby House Kitchen-Hall
Since the Tudors didn't really have "kitchens" I used this hall for a
place to prepare food. |
Tudor Baby House Living Room
I wasn't real sure if the Tudors had clocks but figured I'd put one in
anyway. |
Tudor Baby House Living Room
Sorry if my "Knight" looks a little funny. I couldn't find a small
enough knight so I cut one off of a horse then added boots so he could be
standing. |
Tudor Baby House Office/Reading Room (2nd floor)
I had several "scrolls" and finally have a place to put them! |

out paintings for
this time period. |
Tudor Baby House 2nd floor hall
Have a little table with a tray on it and the stairs has a little door
that's hard to see, same as the first floor Kitchen - Hall. |
Tudor Baby House nursery- sewing room
Shows the toy box with a little doll inside. |
Tudor Baby House nursery- sewing room
I combined the nursery and sewing
room.
The family paintings show the mother, two daughters and on the other wall,
the father.

Tudor Baby House Bedroom (3rd floor)
Even though you can't really see it, the armoire has clothing and boots
inside. |

Tudor Baby House 3rd floor hall
This hall contains a chest and hand rail for where the stairs comes out.

Tudor Baby House bedroom 2
I used the same bedroom kit (all kits by SDK Miniatures) for this bedroom but
added a clock on the mantle place. |

You can see a bit of the clothing and boots
in the armoire. |
Once I find some tiny painting
for a couple of the rooms, I'll post new photos including the photos. (July
