I wanted to build the Amsterdam Canal Houses. Originally, I wanted to furnish them but when I started working on the houses they were front opening which wouldn't work for what I wanted to do with them.
I wanted to build a canal in front of the houses. This is before I put the houses into the fish tank where I planned to keep them.
This is the bottom of the canal. Can you see the skeleton? In the old days, dead bodies were sometimes just thrown into the canal. There is also a wrecked boat, ships wheel, and anchor along with different kinds of trash.

I decided to put the Amsterdam Canal houses into a fish tank so you can see the water and what is in it. However, I didn't want the water to look too clean. After all, there are dead bodies in there.
In this one you can see the actual canal. Yes it's very cloudy but I think it makes it look more realistic. That's why I took before and after shots. There is also a photo behind the houses of Amsterdam.
The fish tank is a corner tank. This is another Amsterdam scene on the back side of the fish tank and behind the houses so you don't see the backs of the houses.
